Maryam Hosseini, MD has been a practicing psychiatrist in the Atlanta area since 2014. She went on to graduate medical school from Morehouse School of Medicine in 2010. She then returned to Emory University School of Medicine for a 4 year residency in Adult Psychiatry, where she served as Chief Resident at the VA Hospital in her 4th year. She graduated from residency in 2014 and began working as a full time Associate Faculty at Emory University's Student Health center and then later as an Emergency Psychiatrist at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Hosseini has a breadth of experience in treating a variety of mental health and psychiatric diagnoses. At the core of it, mental health starts with our selves, our human emotions and our connections. When our connections to others are disrupted, our emotions can be effected and vice versa. She works with patients to discover the roots of these disruptions. Dr. Hosseini takes a holistic approach, taking lifestyle, relationships and other factors into account when creating individualized treatment plans.

Dr. Hosseini is trained in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She uses these modalities to inform her work with patients and incorporates therapy into her treatment, depending on patient needs.
